What's New?
Upgraded electric motors on all-wheel drive variants increase horsepower from 215 to 338. The Toyota brand also estimates a 25% increase in range, offering 314 miles. Expect the battery pack in the FWD XLE to decrease from 63.4 kWh to 57.7 kWh, though all other models receive the bigger 74.7 kWh battery.
Important to note, and probably the biggest change, is that an NACS (North American Charging Standard) port replaces the outgoing CCS port, allowing the Toyota bZ to charge at Tesla superchargers. Plus, expect tweaks to the overall styling and a new interior dashboard design.
Performance
The Toyota bZ delivers exceptional electric performance through its advanced powertrain options. The standard configuration in the FWD XLE models features a single electric motor producing 168 horsepower. The Limited offers 221 horsepower from the same engine, while the available all-wheel-drive system boosts output to an impressive 338 horsepower with a dual-motor setup.
